Do you mean “Do just sit” or “don’t”? I never encourage readers “to sit” when I want them to jump and down with my shared passion for issues.
Just what exactly is the problem? Any road works take time, and it will be a definite improvement when finished. Why not relax and take the train, or leave home earlier?
Having said that, I’m afraid Australian bridge constructors are about 50 years behind when it comes to construction, they should go to England and look at the way the bridges were constructed on the M1 motorway!
